Laurie Gilmore’s New Dream Harbor Novella: The Apple Pie Ice Cream Parlor
Get ready, Dream Harbor fans, because the news we’ve been waiting for is finally here… along with a twist that has readers everywhere pretty jealous (unless you live in the Netherlands or Belgium?)…
Laurie Gilmore just made a major announcement on Instagram: a brand-new novella, The Apple Pie Ice Cream Parlor, is coming to the Dream Harbor series! Before you rush to pre-order, here’s the catch: this sweet little story will have an exclusive initial release only in the Netherlands and Belgium in October 2025.
Gilmore teased her international audience with a caption that read, “sorry everyone else, you’ll have to wait,” which has been sending readers into a frenzy. While it’s bittersweet news for those of us outside this market, a wider global release will definitely follow… eventually.
So, why the exclusive launch? It appears this novella was written specifically for the celebrated English Book Week, a campaign run by Van Ditmar, a major Dutch book trading partner. The campaign highlights the huge surge in popularity of English-language books in the Netherlands and Belgium, driven by communities like BookTok and Bookstagram.
Details are still scarce, but here’s what we know so far:

If the comments on her Instagram are anything to go by, hundreds of fans are already pleading for a worldwide release. I’m right there with you, desperately hoping we won’t have to wait too long!
While we play the waiting game for The Apple Pie Ice Cream Parlor, we can look forward to the next full-length novel, The Gingerbread Bakery, coming this September 2025. That story will follow Annie as she prepares for a Dream Harbor wedding between Jeanie and Logan at Kira’s Christmas tree farm. Will Annie and her longtime series enemy, Mac finally start warming up to each other?

There is also the recently announced book, The Daisy Chain Flower Shop coming in May 2026. It will follow Daisy, a florist whose shop is considered cursed after several marriages she did the flowers for ended in divorce, and Elliot, a newcomer to town recovering from his own relationship troubles.
The plot kicks off when Elliot, despite wanting to avoid the “cursed” flower shop, is forced to buy flowers from Daisy for his visiting family. Their meeting sparks a connection, and they likely enter into a fake relationship (potentially to appease his family or combat the shop’s bad reputation). As they spend time together, their pretend romance blossoms into a real one, proving that love can be found when you least expect it.
I’ll be keeping a close eye on any updates for all Dream Harbor news and will update this post the moment we know more. In the meantime, join me in crossing all your fingers and toes that this new Dream Harbor novella finds its way to a bookstore near us very, very soon!
